2’s Curriculum
Our curriculum for the 2’s classroom is thoughtfully designed to nurture curiosity, independence, and early learning through play and exploration.
Each month, we focus on building foundational skills in motor skills development, emotional expression and understanding (Social Emotional Learning or “SEL”), early literacy, early math, and problem-solving. Children will practice balance, coordination, and endurance through active play, begin recognizing letters and print, explore counting and sorting, and use their imagination in open-ended art. They’ll also develop an awareness of the world around them—discovering shapes, learning to work and play alongside others, and the natural properties of earth and sky. With engaging, hands-on experiences, our goal is to inspire confidence, creativity, and a love for learning in every child.
One way we build your child’s self confidence and Social-Emotional skills is through our utilization of Positive Discipline methodology and our research-backed, proprietary Potty Training Program. Read more on both below!
Positive Discipline
At our preschool, we practice positive discipline that nurtures both independence and emotional growth in our 2-year-olds. We guide children with clear expectations, gentle redirection, and lots of encouragement. We help prevent meltdowns by recognizing triggers early and offering tools for self-regulation —like countdowns before transitions, cozy spaces for quiet rest, or safe alternatives when big feelings come out in hitting or throwing. Our classrooms are thoughtfully arranged to minimize frustration and set children up for success, with ample opportunities for movement, sensory breaks, and comfort during naptime. Most importantly, we focus on teaching, helping toddlers learn that their hands can help, their words have power, and their feelings are always acknowledged. This approach builds confidence, empathy, and lifelong social skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Potty Training
Potty training is an exciting and sometimes challenging milestone in every child's development. At Strive Academy, we will help you navigate the process every step of the way. Our one-of-a-kind Potty Training Program starts with a step by step Guide that covers how to recognize signs of readiness for potty training, popular potty training methods, and how our staff will collaborate with you to create an effective plan that best fits your family's needs. We will sit down with you for a 1 on 1 meeting as soon as your child shows the first sign of readiness for potty training. Upon finding the plan that works best for your family, our expert Potty Trainers will execute your plan while your child is here at school, matching what you are doing at home.
Since implementing this program, we have successfully potty trained 100% of our students before they turned 3!
