At Strive Academy, our experienced early educators have created a nurturing and enriching learning environment for your child. Our Strive Signature Curriculum is designed to develop independence, empowerment, critical thinking, and inspire curiosity in order to prepare your child not only for kindergarten but for a successful life. Our signature curriculum begins at an foundational level in the 3’s classroom and is then built upon the following year in the Pre-K classroom. Our ‘curriculum cycle’ begins annually at the August back-to-school timeframe, but is also designed such that new students can enter the program at any point of the year and not be behind. The following graphic shows the seven core focuses of the Strive Academy Signature Curriculum, and more detailed descriptions are below.

Strive Academy’s Signature Curriculum

Break that down for me…what’s in each core focus?

We cover foundational academic skills, including:

  • Math: Basic counting, geometric shapes, patterns, and number recognition.

  • Literacy: Letter recognition, phonics, vocabulary development, and early writing.

These are the key elements that distinguish a 'Preschool' from a ‘Daycare'

We incorporate Montessori-inspired methods to cultivate your child's independence, empowerment, life skills, and self-confidence. Through hands-on activities, your child will focus on practical skills like pouring one’s own water, having classroom jobs, practicing social interactions, decision-making & problem-solving exercises, and overcoming adversity.

We introduce your child to age-appropriate financial concepts to develop responsible money habits from an early age. This includes lessons on earning, spending, saving, needs vs wants, and much more. We believe that even though K-12 schools omit this subject, it’s essential for successful adults of the future.

We encourage curiosity and critical thinking through hands-on experiments and activities in:

  • Science: Nature, weather, plant life, and simple scientific concepts.

  • STEM: Engineering challenges, building with materials, and basic problem-solving.

Our SEL program helps your child understand their emotions, build empathy, and develop healthy relationships. Lessons include emotional regulation, conflict resolution, cooperative play, and overcoming adversity.

Each week, your child is introduced to a new US State (3’s class) or Country of the World (Pre-K class) through books, art, food, animals, culture, and activities.

This fosters an understanding of global citizenship and a sense of curiosity about a bigger world.

We emphasize the importance of a healthy lifestyle through fun and engaging activities. Your child will learn:

  • Exercise Is Fun!: Incorporating daily movement through active play and structured physical activities.

  • Nutrition: Understanding the value of nutritious, organic foods and building healthy eating habits.

  • Well-being: Practicing mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and overall body awareness.
